Golf carts allowed on White Sands Boulevard

Golf carts, beach tents, private dune walkovers and special events were all Navarre Beach items on the agenda for the Aug. 13 Santa Rosa County Commissioner’s meeting.

The commissioners approved the creation of two new ordinances. The first would allow golf carts on White Sands Boulevard. The second ordinance would make it illegal to leave anything on the public beach overnight. 

“I agree that something has to be done about items left on the beach,” Commissioner Gordin Goodin said. The price of these tents has gone down and many people just leave them on the beach when they leave.”
