Navarre woman advocating for disabled

A Navarre resident has been appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to the Florida Independent Living Council, which promotes and advocates independent living for people with disabilities.
Catherine Johnson, 64, who was appointed last Friday, said that she has always strived to be an advocate for people with disabilities and is committed to preventing disenfranchisement.
