Water board seats new members

Holley Navarre Water System held its annual election for new board members on Jan. 15 and two old members have been re-elected.

Will Goulet and Sheldon Hutchins were re-elected to serve another term with 579 and 466 votes, respectively. New members are Steve Gardner and Bien T. May, who got 498 and 493 votes, respectively. The fifth candidate James Dabney was not elected. He received 100 votes.

Goulet, Gardner and May will serve for three years because they had the highest number of votes. Hutchins will serve out the remainder of Bill Sublett’s term since he resigned during a Dec. 18 meeting.
