Gov. Rick Scott requested an investigation into the termination of four investigators who were part of Citizens’ Office Corporate Integrity.
Scott made the request in a Nov. 19 letter to Melinda Miguel, Chief Inspector General.
“On Friday, (Nov. 16) a report released by Citizens’ Audit Committee revealed that shortly before their terminations, employees within the Office of Corporate Integrity were investigating allegations that Citizens had mismanaged internal investigations, applied disciplinary procedures inconsistently, and mishandled corporate funds,” read the letter in part.
