Ogletree explains keys to economic development

Santa Rosa County has to be better at attracting outside dollars into the community, according to Shannon Ogletree, Office of Economic Development interim director.

“A primary job is a job that produces goods or services for customers that are predominately outside the community,” said Ogletree when addressing the county commissioners during a Nov. 8 special economic workshop meeting.

Primary jobs bring dollars into the county from outside the county instead of recycling dollars within a community.
