Edgewood to get traffic signal

The Florida Department of Transportation has determined that a traffic signal is warranted at the intersection of Edgewood Drive and U.S. Highway 98 in Navarre.

Ian Satter, FDOT District 3 public information director, said several factors went into the determination to install a traffic signal.

“Anytime we put up a traffic light of that nature, it can come for any number of reasons,” said Satter. “The requests can come from local government and residents. The traffic operations engineer investigates the intersection and if the study of the intersection indicates a signal is warranted, one will be constructed.”
