Community events to honor vets

Businesses and organizations are taking the time on Sunday and Monday to recognize the many veterans who live and serve in the community.

The VFW Spectre Post 11367 and other veteran and fraternal organizations will be presenting the Navarre Veterans Day ceremonies at 11 a.m. Nov. 11 at the Navarre Park. The guest speaker will be Brigadier Gen. Mark S. Inch, Commandant, United States Army Military Police School and Chief, Military Police Corps Regiment-World Wide. 

Refreshments will be served at the VFW Spectre Post following the ceremony. Members, families and the public are cordially invited to this event.

The 2012 Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony will be held Nov. 12 in downtown Milton.
