Fred Soloman of Wetumpka, Ala., waves to drivers Oct. 21 on U.S. Highway 98 across from Navarre Park.
Solomon and his friend, Woody Woodward, are working the Panhandle to encourage record voter turnout on Nov. 6. Solomon said he voted for Jimmy Carter the first time but didn’t make the same mistake the second time. “I’m an old guy, but I remember,” he said. “I’m not worried about myself but I am scared for your (younger) generation.”
