NYSA to have election run-off

A run-off between NYSA Board of Director candidates Jennifer Schluter and Darren Thomas will take place from 4-7 p.m. on Nov. 1, at the NYSA office located at football complex and the soccer complex.

The NYSA held its annual board of directors’ elections on Oct. 17 for new board members.

The ballot contained 14 candidates, including four incumbents. Three of the incumbents, Larry Dixon, Darren Nicely and Jim Brown were re-elected. Tony Carter and Stacy Wright were in the top five with Thomas and Schuler receiving an equal number of votes, resulting in the run off.

About 150 ballots were cast.
