As of Oct. 1, the Santa Rosa County Health Department has confirmed three human cases of West Nile Virus in the county.
The possibility that others may become infected with the virus remains extremely high, and the health department strongly encourages the public to continue to take precautions to avoid being bitten by mosquitoes.
According to the county's mosquito spraying schedule, Navarre, Holley and Woodlawn areas will be sprayed on Oct. 3.
