County appoints RESTORE Council

Santa Rosa County Commissioners made their appointments to the local RESTORE Council during a Sept. 27 meeting.

Commissioner Lane Lynchard recommended the appointment of Dave Robau to serve in the District 5 seat. 

Commissioner Jim Melvin recommended the appointment of Steve Hering to serve in the District 5 seat. However, he learned after the meeting that Hering no longer lives in the district so he will have to find someone else.

Commissioner Bob Cole recommended the appointment of Rob Williamson of Bagdad to serve in the District 2 seat. Williamson also is Cole’s appointee on the County Zoning Board. 

Commission Chairman Jim Williamson recommended the appointment of Cal Bodenstein to serve in the District 1 seat. 

Commissioner Don Slater was not present at the meeting to make his appointment.

County Administrator Hunter Walker said Milton recommended the appointment of its City Manager Brian Watkins and the Town of Jay recommended the appointment of Shon Owens.

Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce recommended the appointment of Chamber President/CEO Kelley Fuller.

Gulf Breeze Council has not yet made its appointment. Lynchard will serve as the commissioners’ representative on the board.
