The Holley-Navarre Elks Lodge is inviting the local community to come out and enjoy their Inaugural Oktoberfest at 6 p.m. on Sept. 29. The event is a fundraiser for the charitable works that the Elks participate in on a year-round basis.
“About ten years ago, (Oktoberfest) did happen at our lodge but the people who ran it moved away and they hadn’t done anything so we decided to try it again,” said member Bill Adair, chairman of the Oktoberfest committee.
“We are trying to build membership,” Adair continued. “It’s a very nice lodge, and it shows people that there is some energy there.”
The Elks Oktoberfest is a free event that will feature $2 German beer and authentic German food and music.
