Navarre teen cut during altercation

A Navarre teenager was arrested Aug. 2 for cutting his friend Cody Shane Hicks, 19, in the stomach during an altercation on Paloma Street.
Andrew Jacob Cooley, 18, of Navarre was charged with one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, one count of battery and one count of aggravated battery.
A Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to Paloma Street around 10 a.m. Aug. 1 in reference to a cutting that just occurred.
