The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office showed off some of its new toys March 30 during a Commerce and Coffee breakfast hosted by the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce.
Sheriff Wendell Hall introduced the crowd to the department’s newest member: a robot. Hall said the robot was purchased with a Homeland Security grant and could be used for various situations, but mostly hostage situations.
