Santa Rosa County commissioners selected their appointees that will serve on the economic development transitional committee during their regular board meeting this morning.
The committee will report back to commissioners in March with a suggested structure and plan for creating a new economic development organization that will replace TEAM Santa Rosa.
Commissioner Lane Lynchard appointed Gulf Breeze Mayor Beverly Zimmern, Milton business owner Claude Duvall and former chairman of Florida’s Great Northwest Jeff Helms.
Commissioner Jim Melvin appointed Jerry Couey of Milton, Laurie Gallup of Navarre and Carol Boston.
Commission Chairman Jim Williamson appointed current TEAM board member Ed Fortune, Alan Isaacson and United Peninsula Association President Don Richards.
Commissioner Don Salter appointed current TEAM board member Ferd Salomon, Santa Rosa Medical Center director Phillip Wright and local CPA Josh Durst.
Commissioner Bob Cole appointed current TEAM board member Gerry Goldstein, Ameriprise Financial Manager Rick Pascal and Copper Possum Antiques owner Kim McCarthy.
The committee will meet for the first time at 3 p.m. Feb. 6 in the commission board room in Milton.
