Pensacola man in critical condition following crash

A Pensacola man was listed in critical condition at Baptist Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in car crash Nov. 2.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol press release, Jerry R. Miller, 80, was traveling southbound on Sanibel Lane around 6:35 p.m.  Adam Gary, 17, of Gulf Breeze, was traveling westbound on State Road 30.

After stopping at the intersection, Miller proceeded to cross State Road 30. Miller failed to yield to Gary, who swerved to avoid him.

The front of Gary’s Chevy truck struck the left side of Miller’s GMC van. The impact knocked Miller across the eastbound lanes of State Road 30 and off the roadway onto the shoulder.

Miller was Lifeflighted to Baptist Hospital and Gary was transported by ambulance for serious injuries.
