Melvin, who represents District 4 – and Navarre – on the Board of County Commissioners, began the hour-long meeting by asking “Does the Navarre community want a community center? And, if so then how are we going to pay for it and where will it be.”
The answer to the first question was a resounding yes, as all residents and business leaders in attendance agreed that Navarre needs a community center. However, there seemed to be just as many questions coming from the audience as was coming from Melvin.
