The smell of death permeated the foreclosed home located in the 1600 block of Winding Shore Drive in Lighthouse Point subdivision where six animals were found dead.
Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Deputy Jeannie Schmitt was following up on several complaints of animal cruelty today at the location. She walked around to the back of the home and after looked through the sliding glass door she saw two dead animals according to Sgt. Brinkerhoff.
