Gulf reefs open for diving

Clear skies, turquoise water and newly installed Gulf reefs awated Mike and Nancy Sandler this morning, Sept. 23, when they arrived on Navarre Beach eager to dive the Gulf reefs for the first time.

After years of work, The Navarre Beach Marine Sanctuary reef project is finally actualized with all three snorkeling and diving reefs installed; two are located in the Sound and one is in the Gulf at the Navarre Beach County Park. 

The reefs are open for public enjoyment from snorkeling novices to diving expert, and all levels in between.
