Local candidates seek to persuade

Candidates seeking local elected positions vied for the votes of Navarre residents during a candidate forum held July 23 at the Holley-Navarre Middle School.

About 70 residents attended the candidate forum that was hosted by the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. Invitations were sent to each local, state and federal candidate whose name will be on the Aug. 14 ballot.

The candidates were given one minute to introduce themselves and one minute to answer questions asked by John Hayes, NBAC chairman and forum moderator.
