What was once a sleepy bedroom community has become a veritable nesting ground for gang activity and Santa Rosa County Officials are working to stop it.

Last weekend, 16-year-old Navarre resident Kyle Walling was one of three teenagers arrested in connection with the brutal murder of Christopher Pitcock in nearby Fort Walton Beach.
Pitcock, 17, was gunned down March 4. Witnesses said they saw Pitcock’s 1987 Chevrolet Blazer plow through a mail box in a neighborhood on Lula Belle Lane in Fort Walton Beach.
