Planning continues to fix, replace bridge

Correcting a clerical error changed Pensacola Bay Bridge's sufficiency rating -- but not the bridge's condition.
"It's still structurally deficient; we still have to do something about it in the next six years," said Jason Peters of the Florida Department of Transportation last week.
Peters is FDOT District 3's interim director of transportation development. He made his comments after a meeting of the Northwest Florida Transportation Corridor Authority on Feb. 25 in Santa Rosa Beach.
