At it’s Jan. 19 meeting, Mark A. Goode, Bryan S. Duncan and William Goulet received more votes than incumbents Joey Braswell, James L. White and Charles Enghauser for seats on the board of directors.
“Always hate to see existing board members leave because of the time and efforts they have put in and they are appreciated,” said Ken Walker, general manager of Holley-Navarre Water System Inc. “On the other hand it is good to have new board members because they have fresh ideas and they can contribute a lot to the water system.
“As long as we can get them to follow the statutes that govern us and they are willing to do those things that are, in their opinion, in the best interest of the water system, we will have a great water system.”
Vote tallies: Braswell, 113; Duncan, 342; Enghauser, 117; Goode, 299; Goulet, 344; and White, 79.For more on this story, see the Jan. 28 issue of the Navarre Press or subscribe online.
