Air Force plans to privatize housing at Hurlburt Field and Eglin Air Force Base met with less than rave reviews at public hearings last week.

"We currently have in inventory enough homes in the surrounding counties to house those 1,400 families,"  said Phil Babiak, a Fort Walton Beach resident and co-owner of Century 21 Island View Realty in Navarre.  "The market will more than satisfy the demand. You would see that if you'd simply pick up the paper and check the want ads."
