Turtle time on Navarre Beach

DSC_4875May marks the start of sea turtle nesting season along Florida’s Gulf Coast and local sea turtle enthusiasts are working to remind residents and visitors how they can help the process along.

Volunteers from the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center (NBSTCC) spent Friday and Saturday at Fun Fest selling merchandise to help fund the center and providing important information to visitors about the upcoming sea turtle nesting season.

Beginning May 1, volunteers will take to the beach daily at 5:30 a.m. on ATVs searching for signs of turtle activity.
