Surviving Step By Step: As our Summer comes to an End

My doctor’s appointments all went well. My surgeon wasdiscussing future procedures which would help bring down the percentage of  my cancer coming back. I hate the thought of it either way and will just take each day/ week as it comes. My radiologist was very pleased with the way my skin has healed. The Vitamin E inmy lotion is extremely good for the healing process. I will continue my routine of applying it every day. They both did breast exams and said all seems good.  Yeah!! Next month is blood work and seeing my medical oncologist. But if anything comes up before then of concern, I should go ahead and make a earlier appointment time.

This week was busy with vacation Bible School and orientations and lots of school supplies. Time to sort and make sure all isready. I will find out what my high schooler need soon. A lot of changes going on and trying to squeeze in the last days of summer fun. Half the family is going to Tampa next week. My youngest son has a doctors appointment. They will  stay extra days to enjoy some relaxing fun.

My mom’s birthday was wonderful. She had her new perm and a pretty outfit on that made her glow and look like a queen. Food was good and her nails shined. Did a little bit of shopping and enjoyed our day all together. I was quite tired and slept good that night. Long day for me but considered it good exercise. A lot of walking in the stores.

We now enter into the last week before school starts. I wil lmiss them while they are in Tampa. Maybe I will slow down before the new rush out the door each morning for the school bus. Enjoy some peace and quiet. Soccer practice starts Monday and that will keep us busy all over again.Looking forward to a great year and plan to attend more functions with my children and family. It will be our new normal.

My Faith will keep me strong and my Family will make me smile.
