Surviving Step by Step: Staying Busy and Having Fun

My skin is healing very good. It is a light pink and thesloughing is almost done. In another weeks time it will be close to lookinglike it did before my radiation began.

I did some outside work. It was warm and I became tiredquickly. Was able to trim back my roses and started weeding my other gardens.There is so much to catch up on but need to pace myself. I may get a few newflowers. Some have wilted. Would like some new color on the porch.

My Echo test is this Friday. I feel good overall and not sotired all the time. I have stopped trying to figure out the “Why Me”. I havemet some wonderful new people and feel very blessed to have so many out theresaying prayers for my family and I. Thank you.

This past Sunday, I had a girls day out. I went with mysister and four of her friends to a fundraiser event at the Foley Civic Center.The guest speaker was Jill Conner Browne. The original boss Queen of the SweetPotato Queens.  I have read one ofher books and highly recommend them for a few good laughs. The books get downto business. Anyway, during the course of the event, I was called up to thefront. My sister said to do this to me and it would be okay. I was givenHonorary membership. I received the SPQ Tiara, my sparkly sunglasses, and mybig long red hair curly wig. I also committed myself to a March 2010 date tomarch in the SPQ annual parade in Jackson, Miss. Four days of fun, fun ,andplay. I enjoyed the day out and the great food at LuLu’s.  After all, playtime is part of thehealing process.  So isn’tlaughter.  This man sitting at thesame table must have had to much free wine or something. He put the leftoverbiscuits in a napkin and stuffed them in his sock!!!! And looked like he wasabout to fall over. My sister kept scooting me towards her since I was closestto him. When all was over, we left quickly to get away from him. Was a goodlaugh once we could talk about it in the car. Thanks for a great afternoongirls.

My Faith will keep me strong and my Family will make mesmile. Life is good.
