The days of being able to quickly depart Navarre Beach during summer weekends have mostly come to an end. Lengthy waits to get off Navarre Beach Bridge and onto U.S. Highway 98 are the new normal. County Engineer Roger Blaylock explained that earlier this year the county hired a consultant to study traffic around the bridge during Memorial Day weekend . The study specifically focused on the timing of the signal at the bridge with respect to traffic patterns and the feasibility of adding a roundabout to the south end of the causeway.The manner in which the study has been conducted is being criticized. Santa Rosa County Deputies were dispatched to an armed robbery on Tuesday morning at the Circle K at 3804 Garcon Point Rd. According to a Sheriff's Office release, two black males entered the location through a back door and pointed a gun at the clerk. The clerk was ordered to a back office where the second black male suspect was waiting. The clerk was unable to open the safe. The suspects then proceeded to the front register, where they ordered the clerk to give them the money from the register.
