A look at how the ranked teams fared over the weekend

Navarre was one of eight teams in the 6A poll that came away with a victory Friday night. The seventh-ranked Raiders rolled past Fort Walton Beach 48-6 to improve to 4-0 on the season. It’s the most points the Raiders have scored all season  and the fewest points they have allowed as they ran their regular-season win streak to 16.

Second-ranked Armwood wasn’t as fortunate, falling 29-27 to Plant City Friday. Eighth-ranked Boyd Anderson was blanked 38-0 by IMG Academy.

In a battle of the top-ranked teams in 5A and 4A, defending state champion Miami Central topped Miami Washington 42-14. Every other top-ranked team won with the exception of Washington.

Gulf Breeze, which had received two votes in last week’s poll, was knocked off 42-33 by West Florida Friday night, ending any hope it will get into the top 10 this week.
