A brightly painted sea turtle statue commissioned by the Santa Rosa County Tourism Development Office arrived Tuesday, Aug. 23, at the Navarre Visitor Information Center.
The turtle statue stands roughly five feet tall and will be permanently placed in the lobby of the Navarre Visitor Information Center as part of Santa Rosa County’s Turtle Trail, a project similar to Pensacola’s pelican statues.
Hand painted turtle statues will be placed throughout the county to showcase tourist destinations and intrigue visitors for photo opportunities.
