Sergeant Rich Aloy of the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office said the Loss Prevention Coalition of Santa Rosa County provides a new way for stores to fight the battle against shoplifters.
“We’ve have some shoplifting issues throughout our county and it is impacting retailers,” said Aloy, the public information officer for the Sheriff’s Office. “We put together this retail theft coalition to have everyone in the same place to talk about the issues and work to get some of these individuals to stop what they are doing.”
The meeting for the coalition is slated for Aug. 16th at 9 a.m. in Milton at the main Sheriff’s Office building on East Milton Road.
The purpose of the meeting is to have retailers and law enforcement work together to overcome theft problems in the county. The response has been positive.
