New resources coming for pregnant Navarre women

When the couple setup a free ultrasound with Safe Harbor pregnancy resource center in Pensacola, they had one option in mind.

Abortion.

Unemployed and homeless, they thought they had no way to provide for a baby.

Then they heard the heart beat and saw movement on the screen.

Close to tears, the father whispered in the mother’s ear “we can do this.”

They both found work, and with family help they found a home director of Safe Harbor Dion McAlarney said. She received pictures of their little girl who is now a year old.

That moment of inspiration is something newly appointed Pregnancy Resource Center of Navarre (PRCN) Executive Director Debbie Gunnoe said they hope to recreate closer to home.

Gunnoe said the center is making moves to become a medical facility to better serve the unexpectedly expecting of Navarre.
