War Eagle! Brahms commits to Auburn

Nick Brahms is in Oregon at the moment, training with and competing against the top high school players in the nation at The Opening camp at Nike Headquarters.

The setting served as the perfect location for the heavily recruited and highly touted Navarre offensive lineman to announce where he will play college football next year.

In front of a national television audience on ESPNU Saturday night, Brahms announced he is taking his talents to Auburn.

Once barely on the recruiting radar – Florida Atlantic was his only offer heading into 2016 – the senior’s stock rose significantly after attending a Rivals.com camp in New Orleans earlier this year.

Offers came rolling in from major college football programs from across the nation after the camp, more than 40 in all, with Tennessee, Oregon and Miami among them.

Brahms is now one of the top linemen in the nation and was one of 166 players invited to the elite camp in Oregon. He will also play in the United States Army All-American Game in January.

As for his upcoming senior season, he is looking to build off what he accomplished a year ago when he was part of an offensive line that helped Navarre roll up more than 4,000 yards. The Raiders went unbeaten in the regular season before falling to Tate in the opening round of the playoffs.

Brahms said earlier this year he wanted to make his decision before his senior season with the Raiders started and he stuck with that plan, announcing it a little more than a month before Navarre kicks off its season against Pensacola Catholic.
