Gulf Islands gets own Forever stamp

A special dedication ceremony for the Gulf Islands National Seashore Stamp was held Thursday at the Gulf Islands National Seashore Headquarters in Gulf Breeze.

The stamp is one of 16 National Parks Forever stamps being issued to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service.  It features an image of a photograph of a heron by John Funderburk of Hernando, Fla. It’s the ninth of 16 Forever stamps that will be revealed over a three-week period.
