Raider lifters continue to strive for improvement

Navarre weightlifting coach Jay Walls is pleased with the effort his team has put forth in the early part of the season.

“Things are going really well, but it’s still early in the season,” Walls said. “We’re seeing a lot of improvements on totals, with guys going up 5, 10, 15 or 20 pounds. That is what it’s all about at this time of the year.”

The Raiders competed in their latest meet Monday, going up against Pace in a dual meet in Navarre. The Raiders lost by just two points to the Patriots, falling 46-44 in a tightly contested meet.
