FLORIDA DEPUTY DUE IN COURT IN AIR RIFLE SHOOTING DEATH
The hearing is set Wednesday for Broward Sheriff’s Office Deputy Peter Peraza, whose lawyer says is pleading not guilty. Peraza faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted in the 2013 shooting death of Jermaine McBean, who was black. Peraza is white.

POLICE: DAYS AFTER WOMAN FOUND DEAD, SON KILLS HER BOYFRIEND
Margate police say 30-year-old Edward Cadet of Sunrise was charged Tuesday with murder without premeditation in the death of 59-year-old Randy Pierson. Cadet’s mother, 60-year-old Alfonsene Valentine, was found shot to death Sunday in a Coral Bay field.
