Austin Anderson is no stranger to science fair success at Holley-Navarre Middle School.
The eighth- grader was the school’s grand-prize winner a year ago and repeated the accomplishment this year with his experiment on whether or not a radish grows faster using Hydroponics or Aquaponics.
“I won last year, too, with an experiment about the difference in growing a radish in soil or using hydroponics,” he said. “That was continued inspiration for this project.”
Eighth-grader Julianna Cannon was the other grand-prize winner, selected from among a total of 114 science fair participants among sixth, seventh and eighth grades.
