NOTICE TO BIDDERS

BEACH RESTORATION PROJECT

The Board of County Commissioners of Santa Rosa County, Florida will receive sealed bids from qualified licensed contractors for the NAVARRE BEACH RESTORATION PROJECT. The contractor shall provide all plants, labor, equipment, supplies and any other materials required to perform and complete all operations in connection with excavating, transporting, placing and grading (with tilling if required) of approximately 1,600,000 cubic yards of sand fill with native dune vegetation on Santa Rosa County beaches as specified in the plans and project manual. Construction shall be performed by use of a hydraulic pipeline dredge (directly to shore or using one or more scows/barges) or a hopper dredge, a mechanical (clamshell) dredge will not be allowed.

All bids must be original and delivered by hand, Fed Ex, or mail to the Santa Rosa County Procurement Office, 6495 Caroline Street Suite G, Milton, Florida, 32570; and must be received by 10:00 a.m., December 1, 2015, at which time bids will be opened and read aloud. All interested parties are invited to attend. Bids are to be sealed and clearly labeled “BIDNAVARRE BEACH RESTORATION PROJECT”. Bids received after the time set for the bid opening will be rejected and returned unopened to the bidder.

Bid documents, including drawings and specification relative thereto may be inspected at the  Santa Rosa County Procurement Department located 6495 Caroline Street Suite G, Milton, Florida. Plans and specifications may be secured from the Santa Rosa County Procurement office at a non-refundable cost of $25.00 per CD.

A pre-bid meeting will be held on November 10, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at the Santa Rosa County Procurement Department; located at 6495 Caroline Street, Milton, FL; attendance is strongly encouraged. All interested parties are invited.

The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive irregularities in bids, to reject any or all bids with or without cause, and to award the bid that it determines to be in the best interest of Santa Rosa County.
