The Lady Raiders rolled over three opponents this week. However, they expect to be tested this week when they take on rivals Niceville, Mosley and Leon.
Navarre 8, Catholic 0
The Lady Raiders put on an offensive show, scoring six second-half goals at home against Catholic for an 8 – 0 win in their first game of the season on Oct. 27. After several unsuccessful forays deep into Crusader territory, the Raiders scored their first goal at the 15-minute mark. Kayla Folse brought the ball down the left side of the field and passed to Emily Madril approaching the 18-yard line. Madril gathered in the pass and fired a shot from the left side, beating the Crusader keeper as the ball settled into the right corner of the net, giving Navarre a 1- 0 lead.
The Raiders struck again when Kelsey Haden scored her first Raider goal from close range after receiving a pass from Lexi Stikeleather. Madril had two more goals in the second half.
Brenda Bishop, Stikeleather, Melia Gross and Lizzy Madril also scored goals in the second half. Kaylynn Ennis, Gross, Haden and Lizzy Madril assisted on second-half goals. The defense limited the Crusaders to only one shot on goal which Julianna DeSalle handled easily.
