Okaloosa deputy nabs Gulf Breeze sex offender

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jacob James Brenner, a registered sex offender, on Oct. 21 on charges of obscene communication, computer pornography, and using a computer service to seduce or solicit a child.

According to the arrest report, Brenner traveled from Gulf Breeze to a predetermined location for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity with a person he believed to be a 14-year old female.  During conversations between Brenner and another individual Brenner solicited to engage in sexual activities with the 14-year old. The location was given to Brenner by electronic communication at approximately 10:30 p.m.  By midnight, Brenner arrived at the location and was taken into custody.

In 2006, Brenner was convicted of lewd, lascivious battery; sex with a victim aged 12-15 years old in Sarasota, Fla.  In Mar. 2015, he was arrested in Escambia County for larceny and again in June, only 16 days after he was released on the larceny charges, for trespassing.
