Charity chili cook-off winners announced

The Chili Cook-off for Caring and Sharing had the best year ever with 26 participants in the competition (22 chili’s and 4 salsa’s) and 179 tasters. The tasting and chance drawing brought in nearly $2000. The volleyball is expected to bring in around $500 and Juana’s is expected to write a check making this year’s cook-off one of the best years ever bringing in nearly $3000 for those less fortunate in the Navarre area. The next event for Caring and Sharing is the Thanksgiving distribution.

First place winners one a “one-of-a-kind” chili bowl made by Holley Hill Pottery. 2nd place winners took home an embroidered apron and 3rd place took home a certificate.
