2 PEDESTRIANS KILLED A HALF-HOUR APART IN JACKSONVILLE IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF TOWN

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that a 62-year-old man ran into the path of a car on a busy road heading toward Jacksonville Beach around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reports that a 65-year-old woman was hit while trying to cross a street near her home.

Fishermen in waters off Collier, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties are no longer allowed to use traps with round entrances. Instead, they must use traps with rectangular entrances that are no bigger than 5 ½ inches by 3 1/8 inches.
