Camillia Rushing, 23, of Frontera St. in Navarre, was arrested Friday Oct.2 and charged with solicitation for prostitution in conjunction with an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office prostitution sting operation, according to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office.
The prostitution sting operation was in response to complaints the OCSO received regarding active prostitution rings in South Okaloosa County. According to the information OCSO obtained, the women were allegedly posting solicitation advertisements on various websites.
A Narcotics Unit from the OCSO used an undercover officer to contact the females via their Internet advertisements where they agreed to meet at a Miracle Strip Parkway hotel room. When the women arrived, they offered sex or sex acts for money and were then arrested.
The sting operation netted five arrests which included one male, Terrance Lamar, 31, of Fort Walton Beach. Lamar is suspected of and charged with procuring the proceeds or living off the earnings, of prostitution. Lamar was also charged with felony violation of probation.
The three others arrested and charged for alleged solicitation for prostitution are: Melissa Kelly, 48, of Fort Walton Beach; Holly Evans, 26, of Santa Rosa Beach; and Kaysha Barnard, 28, of Sampson, Ala.
