Sandle commits to play baseball at South Alabama

Michael Sandle attended a baseball camp at South Alabama earlier this month and left quite an impression on the Jaguars’ coaching staff.

“They really liked me and asked me to come up for an unofficial visit and ended up offering me (a scholarship),” Sandle said. It’s a great baseball school.”

Sandle talked this summer about possibly playing football and baseball at the college level and he’s hopeful that can still happen.

“We’re talking to the coach about it,” Sandle said. “If I can, that would be great.”

No matter what happens, he’s appreciative about the opportunity.

“I’m real blessed and I thank my coaches for teaching me everything I know,” Sandle said.”

Navarre head baseball coach Scott Murphy pointed to hard work as a big reason for Sandle’s success.
