Santa Rosa Education Foundation awarded $25,000

At the Sept. 10 Santa Rosa School Board meeting, AT&T Regional Director of External Affairs Ray Walker presented Santa Rosa Education Foundation with a $25,000 contribution to support a Career Ops program for 9 -12 grade students in Santa Rosa County public schools.  This donation will allow the school district to provide selected students with experiences in various local industries.  The experience will also increase their awareness of employment opportunities and the education and training required for them to be competitive in the workplace following graduation. Career Specialists will encourage the students to stay in school and help them formulate plans to prepare for careers in their chosen fields.
