About 1500 Navarre Beach residents who are eligible for the new $250 cap on their lease fees have missed the June 30 deadline to apply
for them, costing some individuals hundreds or even thousands of dollars.
Only about 500 of the roughly 2,000 lessees eligible for the cap have filed the required application,
said Mike Burton, Santa Rosa County finance director. “They need to contact the County Attorney’s office if they haven’t applied,” he told the Navarre Press.
If lessees missed the June 30 filing deadline, they are still required to pay the fees at the 2014-2015 lease fee at their rate before the cap.
