Impasse between district and union

Santa Rosa County Superintendent of Schools Tim Wyrosdick officially declared an impasse between the district and its teacher’s union, Santa Rosa Professional Educators, May 21.

Union president Rhonda Chavers said a special magistrate hearing is expected to take place in July.

“This has been the most difficult round of bargaining our county has ever experienced as long as I have been employed in it,” Wyrosdick said in the certified letter mailed to the union.
