Detectives from the Major Crimes Division and the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in investigating the March 26 homicide of a Milton man.

Stephen Richmond Rice, 43, was found dead inside his home on Persimmon Hollow Road. He was white with gray hair and hazel eyes and he weighed 312 pounds. Police said he has lived in both Santa Rosa and Escambia counties.

Rice operated a business via the Internet and person-to-person sales. Detectives would like to speak with any customers he may have conducted business with. While his transactions aren’t in question, police believe there may be a customer who can potentially provide important information.

Customers are urged to contact Detective Baney at the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, 850-983-1296.

Anyone with information who wants to remain anonymous can contact the Santa Rosa County Crime Stoppers Program at 850-437-STOP or submit a web tip at www.SRCCS.com
