Raiders make progress in season’s first track invite

As the Steven Garst Invitational wrapped up late Saturday night at Washington High School in Pensacola, the Navarre track coaches reflected on their teams’ performances in the first big meet of the year.

The Raiders finished 10th in the girls meet and 11th on the boys side. Still, both boys head coach Pat Weeks and girls head coach Maryann Urban were pleased with their athletes’ progress.

“We have a lot of young athletes,” Weeks said, “but I liked the intensity and spirit our athletes had out there.”
