A Virginia man is facing a DUI manslaughter charge following a July 2014 accident that killed his passenger.
Eric Angeletti, 48, of Alexandria, was traveling east on Interstate 10 near the 40-mile marker at 6:35 p.m. on July 5 when the 1994 Chevy G20 he was driving drifted onto the north shoulder and crossed over the eastbound lanes. The truck overturned and landed on its roof on the grass median, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
James Barrow, 58, also of Alexandria, was killed in the accident.
The investigation determined that Angeletti had a blood alcohol content of .96 at the time of the crash.
He was arrested on a second-degree felony and booked at Santa Rosa County Jail on Jan. 23, where he was released on a $20,000 bond.
